Tobacco and coronary
Certainly, from the first puff,
within 10 seconds, coronary spasm occurs, that is to say a reduction in the diameter

A study has also show the influence
of smoking on the progression of existing coronary lesions.
This study has used repeated
coronary angiography to demonstrate that gradually coronary diameter decreased
in smokers found.
On the other hand, if the prior
injury worsened, new lesions appeared within the coronary arteries.
Tobacco smoking aggravates coronary
atherosclerosis beyond doubt and we know that the progression of coronary
atherosclerosis that evolves along with the occurrence of serious coronary
events (HEART ATTACK - qv - in particular).
