Smoking and cervical cancer

A team of British researchers has proved in May 1993 the mutagenic role (cancerous cell transformation) tobacco in the genesis of cancer of the cervix.
Smoking induces a change in the DNA of cells of the cervix.

The risk of cervical cancer is multiplied by 4 in smokers.
