The hunger pain and other signs
The painful hunger occurs when the stomach is empty.
By what mechanism?
It is manifested by stomach contractions triggered by hunger, usually 12 to 24 hours after the last food intake.
Pain persists for more than 30 minutes and are usually relieved by food intake.
Other signs associated with stomach pain
The stomach pain can be associated with other gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss, abdominal bloating or flatulence.
The stomach pain is severe when accompanied
- Of gastrointestinal bleeding,
- Weight loss or loss of appetite,
- Pain or discomfort or blocking when swallowing food
- Or when the signs persist despite medication.
