How to recognize cirrhosis?

Cirrhosis is silent on a shorter or longer period. We speak of cirrhosis "compensated".
Clinical signs appear only when more than 80% of liver cells are destroyed. "Decompensated" cirrhosis.
Manifestations of cirrhosis
Cirrhosis of the liver is usually revealed by the appearance of general symptoms in relation to the altered function of storage, processing and synthesis in the liver:
- Fatigue is explained by the disruption of nutrient storage and energy source in the liver
- Weight loss and weight loss are related to the reduction of nutrient inputs (normally made in the liver from ingested food)
- Loss of appetite is lowered due to enzymes normally synthesized in the liver rate.
There are two main mechanisms explaining the manifestations of cirrhosis:
- The liver failure

- Portal hypertension
