It is the
appearance of blood through the anus.
We denote this
term bleeding red blood (even sparse or microscopic) whose origin is usually
the rectum, but can be located above (sigmoid colon) or lower (anus).
The causes vary
widely, for example:

- A CANCER
- A ULCERATIVE
