Drug treatments

Generally, hemorrhoidal disease is easily treated with painkillers and anti-inflammatory.

Other treatment methods may also help relieve the patient, depending on the severity of the disease.
Drugs used in the treatment of hemorrhoids in the form of a cream, ointment or salve and are generally topical application. In all cases, the advice of a doctor is essential and avoid self-medication.

Relieve pain (analgesic)

Acetaminophen used in case of severe pain.
Drugs based anesthetic (benzocaine or lidocaine) local application.
Creams nitroglycerin or nifedipine also decrease venous pressure.
The veinotonic or phlebotonic are strictly used after medical advice. These drugs increase the tone of venous walls.

Reduce inflammation (anti-inflammatory)

Medications containing corticosteroids (hydrocortisone): Played only for a few days and prescribed by a doctor. These drugs are cons-indicated in cases of infection of the anal region.
Avoid prolonged use.

Aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen) can cause or exacerbate bleeding.
Medicines containing codeine and narcotic constipation worse.
