Day against asthma

This Tuesday, May 3 is World Asthma Day 2011. The opportunity for organizations to conduct awareness (information, far away ...) to the general public.

A chronic disease

Asthma is a respiratory disease that affects about 300 million people worldwide. France has more than 3.5 million asthma, one third are children under 15 years.

According to the World Health Organization, asthma is the most common chronic childhood disease.

Inflammatory disease of the airways, asthma is characterized by discomfort or difficulty breathing, wheezing and cough (morning and night). The severity of symptoms varies from one person to another and depends on the stage of asthma.
